Sun is definitely Hot. Yeah, it’s 40+ degree celsius in some places in summer. While that varies country to country, but most of the time Sun is the representation of Power ( spoiler: it’s a star ) . And on the other hand, Moon is the representation for tenderness, love, relaxation. Is it just because the Sun is a star and the Moon is a satellite ?
I think Star vs Satellite thing is kinda true. But there is something more. It just not the fact. There are history associated.
Back from human civilization, people work in days and take off at night. Well, at least that’s what “civilized people” now a days do. Days are good for working because there are lights :p Obvious fact. They also play games, work hard in the field, move houses…all these happen during daytime. So they started associating the energetic activities with the brightest thing, Sun.
And when people come back home after work, see the Moon on the sky, it’s kind of already relaxing from work and they enjoy the beauty with other charming activities i.e. moonlit dinner, rooftop gossiping, gossiping over the playground with the Moon over the sky, taking night bus journeys looking through the window to the Moon over cornfield…etc. All these activities are kind of soothing and makes a association.
